Self-healing Solutions
Conbiocrete is a technology company that specialises in the development of live-heal bio-cementation for use in construction.
We produce innovative and natural bio-cementation solutions
designed for use in the repair, maintenance, stabilisation and protection of a range of man-made and organic surfaces. The result is a unique product that
is easy to use, self-healing, and most importantly, eco-friendly.
Unlocking nature's secret
Our secret is our use of organic microbes. These microbes are found in the natural environment to produce structures like stromatolites and corals, and have been carefully cultivated to create our bio-cementation material.
The natural choice
Bio-cement has several advantages over traditional concrete repair, cementation, and sealant materials. Most notably, our bio-cement is:
Organic and eco-friendly
As a product of the natural environment, Biocement is non-toxic, eco-friendly, will not alter the pH condition of the surrounding environment, and is water soluble.
Resistant of weathering and extreme temperature conditions
Our biocementation products can be customised to suit extreme climate conditions. For example, they are resistant to frost, extreme heat and general weathering. They’re also resistant of alkaline and acidic pH, and is suitable for extreme salinity and pH conditions.
Self-healing, with excellent crack and pore bridging properties
As general procedure, the biocementation process occurs when its parts are mixed with water and applied to the material. This activates the biocement’s self-healing reaction, after which, the material is stabilised.
Viscous and able to penetrate fine cracks
Biocement’s self-healing properties make it a suitable solution for the repair of fine cracks. It is able to form microscopic bridges between surfaces to repair deep and hard-to-penetrate cracks that other products simply can’t reach.
